Yesterday my sister-in-law Amelia was admitted to St. Paul Hospital by ambulance after she lost consciousness at home. Amelia was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer just before the end of Chinese new year in Jan. and the doctor announced that her remaining lifespan was a only few weeks. She's moved to live with my mother-in-law so that she can be taken good care of. She feels hungry all the time but cannot swallow down the food. The tumour has grown to push and shift her stomach aside. This blocks the food from going down to the stomach. Within a month, her weight drops from 100lbs to 67lbs today. Even though she suffers a lot , feeling very sick and weak, she always puts a smile on her face and greets people joyfully. She has a very nice character and a strong faith in God. The doctors have suggested to do a by-pass operation as soon as possible. Hopefully her body will be strong enough to endure the surgery.
Just received a call from Wayne at 2:30pm that Amelia has been sent to the Palliative Room in the hospital.

Dear Agnes, I am sorry to hear that your sister-in-law is so sick. I understand pancreatic cancer is a very horrible disease. One of my friends had it two year ago. Your sister-in-law is a strong person as she always has a smile on her face. God bless you and your family.
Dear Joyce, 非常感謝您的關心;眼見我小姑身體所受的苦痛,內心好難過!Please keep in touch and God bless you too.
